8 Months

Jack recently turned 8 months and is growing up so fast. I think his main mission in life now is to find anything to pull up on. He crawls but would much rather "walk," meaning you holding his hands and guiding him around the house all day. My hamstrings are thanking him for the workout. Here are a few pictures of our latest adventures. The first is a picture of Scott and his dad, which we recreated for a Father's day gift for Joepa.

Beach Time!

We went with Scott's family to Galveston for a few days of fun in the sun. Amy is due on June 30th so she was a trooper and hung in there with all of us. We had a blast and it was a treat to see Jack's reaction to all the new things he was experiencing. The ocean, sand, beach air...

I love vacationing with my family. We all slow down, eat a lot, laugh a lot and feel very blessed to have each other.

7 Months

Jack turned 7 months recently and he has been a busy boy. He is doing the army crawl all over the house and is very curious. Curious about the drapes, the cable box, the different floor surfaces and our dog's toys. He has tried all sorts of foods and so far the only no go is green beans. His favorite is by far applesauce! Easter 2011

We had a great first Easter with Jack. Church was followed by a delicious lunch and egg hunt at Scott's mom's house. Just another day for Jack this year, but a great photo opportunity for me!

Jack's Half Birthday

We celebrated Jack turning 6 months on April 19th. It was definitely a milestone for Scott and me. We made it! The idea came from Jack's Nonnie, my awesome mother-in-law, who makes a half cake for the grandkids on their half birthday. She made Jack the cutest shirt and party hat to wear for the occasion. She was out of town so I had to make the cake, but I think it still turned out good.

He was a little under the weather with a cough and cold, but he still enjoyed it. He never takes a pacifier, but since he's been sick he can't get enough of them. Oh, and we enjoyed the cake for him. :)

Jack's First Trip To The Zoo

We went to the Houston Zoo on a picture perfect day last week. It was so much fun! Jack didn't care so much about the animals as he did all the kids running around. Go figure. :)
