Santa Claus

Jack had his first experience with Santa and he did great. I'm sure next year it won't be so pleasant when he realizes what's going on. I was on strict orders from Daddy to not have a frilly Christmas outfit for the picture. I figured I couldn't go wrong with a lumberjack look. :)

Thanksgiving 2010

A little late with this post. :) We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We spent the day with some of my family in West Columbia. My cousin Leshay has a 7 month old and it was cute to see Tyler and Jack together.

We celebrated Thanksgiving with Scott's family on Saturday and were lucky enough to enjoy a 2nd delicious meal! I do love the holidays...

Free Shutterfly Holiday Cards

I love sending and receiving holiday cards. I think the cards are presents all by themselves! It's exciting to go to the mailbox during the month of December to see what cards have been delivered. I think it really makes the holidays special and memorable. I love, love to see all the photo cards of my friends, family and/or their children. Especially ones I don't get to see that often. Now that I have a new baby boy, it's even more important to find the perfect holiday card. I have to capture those precious memories...

Shutterfly is currently running an amazing deal for bloggers right now. By writing about this amazing deal, you can receive 50 FREE CARDS! As I mentioned, my personal favorites are their photo cards. What I love most about Shutterfly holiday cards are the stationary cards. No smudges like glossy photo cards! And they have hundreds of styles to choose from. From modern to classic, there is something for everyone. The hardest part is choosing which one you want!

I get 50 free cards for sharing this post! An early Christmas present. You can too!

3 Years Together...

Scott and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on November 10th. We went out to a nice dinner, and it was great to actually take our time to eat. We've had our hands full lately. Multitasking has taken on a whole new meaning since Jack has arrived! Three years and one baby later...we love each other even more than the day we married. :)

Welcome Baby Jack

Jack was born on October 19, 2010 at 3:25 p.m. He weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 18.5 inches long. Due to low amniotic fluid, I was induced about a week early. Jack did not like the medications at all, so we ended up having a c-section. Even through the sleepless nights we've had, I can easily say how very blessed we are.

Just arrived!

Already pouting...

Scott Gets Drafted...

Scott recently played in a golf tournament for the Gulf Coast Association For Retarded Citizens (ARC). He plays in it every year and every year they have a silent auction. Last year he came this close to getting an authentic Houston Texans helmet, but was outbid at the last minute.

This year they had another Houston Texans helmet. Seeking redemption, he posted himself by the bidding sheet prepared to outbid any opponent. It worked!

The Final Baby Shower

The ladies at our church hosted my final baby shower on October 2nd. It was a cowboy theme to coincide with Jack's Texan nursery. They did such an outstanding job with the decorations and food. It was just perfect! We are so very, very blessed.

36 Weeks

I guess we can officially say we are in the home stretch with less than a month to go. So all those to do lists are getting scratched off as me and Scott try to prepare ourselves for the unknown. We've been talking about this person for so long, it'll be amazing to actually meet Jack soon!

The Nursery

We pretty much have Jack's nursery ready to go except for a few odds and ends. We went with a simple and classic look like the rest of our house and I love it! It has a Texan theme because we already had a lot of the decorations from Scott's bachelor days. :) Yee Haw!

Our New Addition...

With Jack coming, I suggested that Scott get a different vehicle since he has a Toyota Tacoma with no back seat. He loves his Toyota (along with every other high school guy) and didn't want to give it up for just anything. Well, this is what he came home with this weekend...

From the little Toyota Tacoma...

to an enormous Dodge Dually.

Now there is plenty of space for Jack and 45 other friends. Way to go Dad!

Shower Time, Again!

This past Saturday my mom, sister and my friend Dee threw me a baby shower for our marina friends and my mom's family to come to. It was great and we are so thankful for our friends and family that helped us celebrate Jack!

28 Weeks

I've officially made it to the third trimester and still feel great. Yes, I'm counting my blessings! My girlfriends gave me a shower this weekend at our favorite spot in Lake Jackson, Cafe Anice. It was great seeing everyone as always, and we hope to get together again soon to celebrate us all turning 30 in the upcoming months.

We also went to an ultrasound to check on Jack. I was measuring a little small at my last appointment and the doctor wanted to take some up-to-date measurements. Everything looked perfect and it was awesome to see him again. It had been 10 weeks since the last ultrasound. Now, we wait...

He has definitely made his appearance

Look at those lips!

Lake LBJ

We went up to my mom's lake house this weekend to have some fun with her and the dogs. We had a typical LBJ weekend eating out at River City Grille, picking up groceries at the ever popular HEB, boiling some shrimp and spending some time out on the lake.

Cayman Islands 2010

Ahh...the Cayman Islands. Scott likes to refer to it as his "happy place." His family has been going there for years, but this was my second time to go. It was a big family trip with us, Scott's parents and his sister's family. We had a blast playing in the water, building sandcastles and keeping up with Nathan. We had a little bit of rainy weather, but it was still a wonderful trip.

Girls Weekend

This weekend I got together with my high school girlfriends in Austin for some fun. We try and get together a couple of times a year to catch up and make sure we stay in touch. We stayed at the Driskill Hotel, which was really nice and apparently haunted according to some people we talked to. We had a great time talking, laughing and, of course, eating!

20 Weeks

Well, I've made it to the halfway mark in the pregnancy! I'm 20 weeks today and feel great. I have been so blessed to have experienced a wonderful pregnancy so far. My clothes are starting to get a little tight these days, so I know I'll be transitioning into maternity clothes soon! Jack will be here before we know it...

We also took a great boat ride this weekend to Redfish Island in Galveston Bay. It's literally a thin strip of rocky land where boats gather to anchor, swim and hang out. Trips like these always make me so thankful to live by the water. Summer is here!

This picture cracks me up. Scott and I look like we just rolled off the tour bus with our SPF shirts and big hats. You can't be too safe in the sun, but really Scott just wanted to wear the hat he bought off a local for $10 while we were in Hawaii. :)

Boy or Girl?

We had our gender reveal party last night for our families. I saw an episode of "18 Kids And Counting" where the gender was revealed with a cake that was dyed either blue or pink. I thought it was a great idea and so we went with it!

We grilled burgers and hot dogs, and had some swim time before the big unveiling.

The time finally came for the big event...

IT'S A BOY!
